This is my Satanoperca mapiritensis group. They are really rare. I keep them with a school of Hyphessobrycon columbianus and breeding group of Corydora sterbai. I am hoping to get them available on US soil this year. To my knowledge they have not been bred state side yet.

I'll be giving fry away free when I finally get them to do their thing.. ;)

Dibs! ;)

Love the sprinkles on the face! :D

Thanks Ricky! They have lime green muzzle spangling just like Satanoperca leucosticta but lack flank spangling and have a much broader head profile/snout. They got lips!!! Here are some SLR pics Modest_Man took of my old female last year. She was 8" TL and I miss her :(

Love these guys, what river do these guys come from?

Thanks Colin! They are from the lower Rio Orinoco drainage where Colombia meets Venezuela. Very little known about them other than collection data. Rio Meta is also a collection point.

Thanks John! Keep an eye on the marketplace. There will be free fry there in a few months ;) You pay shipping though.

That's what I thought it looked like, just couldn't remember the scientific name. I was going to say it looks just like Geophagus Leucistic :)
