lol, only when he eats. Otherwise he is really more 'cute' than anything else when he swims around and begs for food.
Oh that's cool. I heard they were like a pet rock :p

I'm considering dwarf puffers once my bichir is graduated from the 8gal

I've thought about dwarves too.

That hairy puffer is so cool!

What size tank? Is he by himself? I also heard that they don't move around much - but you make it sound like he's interactive.

I have it in a 65B all by himself. He is a log but pops out to beg when you come in the room. This is totally fine since he is in our home office and we are not in there all the time. If you are looking for an active puffer this one is not it. But a nice thing is that these 'lurker' type puffer have no real teeth issues that requires special care. The lurker include the Congo (not spotted), Dragon, Hairy, Arrowhead. The Dragon's are even more lazy from what I hear, but it sounds like they can tolerate a couple of there own kind so they would not have to be solo. I wouldnt mind having an Arrowhead (pignose) puffer either.

So when you get the big tank for the bichir... the 65B would be good for a small puffer ;)

That looks great!

But I agree with Hendre in that the ones in the front will quickly grow really tall and you won't want them there. Only toward the back and sides. If you want other plants for foreground I'd use crypts - they are pretty good with low light and there are some shorter ones that look cool.

Did you see any change in behavior adding in the water lettuce?

Idk if i wanna add alot of plants, so far the val and water lettuce are the only plants i really like but you never know, i will put them toward the back in the weekend just didnt have time to fix it last night.

Yeah i noticed the polys like to float on top now when i added the water lettuce, i think only two polys stay in the bottom and four of them always on top.
