Udon, Soba, and the Noodles

I just put a hold on a Shouetedeni puffer... I have until the end of the day to get it. They just got them in (last group sold out fast.)

I've never had one... worried about bioload but I guess I will keep testing the water and should nitrates start to creep I will rehome one or both of my plecos. I have ALWAYS wanted a puffer, just never had the setup for one. Almost pulled the trigger on some dwarves but it didn't happen.

This would be the final addition to this tank.

I never heard of these until you mentioned them. Did some reading and they are supposed to be peaceful.

They sound and look awesome!

Yes, they are spendy because they've only recently become available again. But... they are the only puffer that will work in my tank (although SAPs might but they are spazzy and frequently require dentistry) without a separate setup.

I've wanted a puffer for a really long time, so to be able to mix them with bichirs would be so awesome.

Honestly, I had written them off for me essentially because of all the multi factorial things. Most of them being the puffers don't do well with tank mates in general, And the fact that I don't have room for another tank right now.

I'll look at them today and decide.

A friend of mine has the cheaper smaller congo puffer (red version) and it can't be with any tank mates.

And yeah most puffers can't live with other fish. The South Americans can but everyone says they are spazzy- not just active - and that you frequently have to trim their teeth when you keep them with tank mates. That makes me really nervous.

If they are too small I might keep it in my 10 gallon shrimp tank to grow out and the shrimp will probably get decimated but they are cheap. We shall see.

They were all piled on top of each other LOL
Some were definitely a little longer than 12 inches. In fact they all looked a little bit longer than 12 inches. But I am a really bad eyeballer so take that as you will. The one in the back had the nicest markings in my opinion but a couple of them were still washed out still.

They also had one of the PBBs in the store now.

If I were still looking for more Polys they had two gold dust in the store and one was swimming all over the place. It would've been a good bet if I were going to go gold dust.

You guys are going to get me banned from there with all of these photos. LOL
