BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez - I like Penn a lot in this fight. This one is sort of like the Florian fight where, although I don't like Sanchez, I will admit he is really improving as a fighter, but I don't know if he does anything better than Penn. I am thinking this fight will go to the ground after Diego finds out he can't stand with BJ, and that's where Penn will finish him.
Frank Mir Vs. Cheick Kongo - Frank Mir has done a lot of trash talking for this fight, and while it has made Kongo really mad, what Mir's saying is probably true. Kongo's ground game is really bad, and that's not exactly what you want going into a fight with Mir. In the stand-up, I'd say their fairly even, but I don't think this fight stays up for long. Submission win for Mir.
Jon Fitch Vs. Mike Pierce - Poor Jon Fitch. If GSP doesn't exist, he's thought of as one of the best 170er's ever. I expect another grinding win for Fitch here.
Kenny Florian Vs. Clay Guida - Florian has turned himself into a really good fighter. Clay is real aggressive, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to get him over against Florian's smarts. This is probably the frontrunner for fight of the night, and it should be good, but Florian should take a decision here, and not take too much damage.
Paul Buentello Vs. Stefan Struve - Struve is my boy. I'm glad he got added to the main card (even though Belcher/Gouveia is more deserving). Buentello is tough though, and could push Struve around a little. I think this will go to the ground, where Struve is very comfortable, and I think he can slip in a choke on Buentello.
Alan Belcher Vs. Wilson Gouveia - For sure the next in line for Fight of the Night, if not the leader. Both guys are very good fighters, and Belcher could be a lot higher on this card if he came out on what some feel is the right side, of a split loss to Aikiyama. I really like watching Belcher fight, and I'm pulling for him here, but Gouveia is no slouch.
Rousimar Palhares Vs. Lucio Linhares - Palhares is a beast, especially on the ground. I expect him to come back strong with a decisive victory.
DaMarques Johnson Vs. Edgar Garcia - DeMarques lost in his TUF finale, but was very impressive on the show. That doesn't always translate into UFC success, but I still think it will. He has a ton of talent, and is pretty motivated too. I think he'll get a win, and continue on with my thought that USA/UK TUF may have the deepest amount of talented fighters of any season yet.
