UFC 111 - St. Pierre vs. Hardy

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don'r think Hardy has any business getting a title shot. He's a good fighter, but GSP is a great fighter, and there are other people in the weight division that deserve a chance over Hardy. Does anyone else think that Dana White is just trying to keep the english fans after Bisping ended up being a disappointment?

I love primarily ground fighters, especially heavyweights, so I could care less about Mir's personality or whatever, I just like to watch him fight. Carwin's a Colorado boy, though, so it's hard rooting against him.

Someone sticky a comment if they can ?!

Bisping got exposed three times now to his endless fans in the UK .

First to Hamill

Second to Henderson  (I can't laugh to hard Danny would do the same to me)

Third a should be retired weight cut Wanderlei silva who decimated his ass.

(I don't count the legit loss to Rashad Evans. Rashad is extremely talented and I cant believe Bisping lasted 15 minutes in his presence. But Bisping actually mentioned in a post fight interview his intention was to "keep his movement up and win the decision" Wow ! what an inspiring warrior...)

Dana is literally swinging from his UK fans balls while he tries to push bisping.

Take TUF UK vs US for example... Anyone find it a coincidence that all the England fighters were all well known where as the Americans were a huge damn mystery ???

Either they received unearned publicity or it was a gift decision by the UFC.... Kinda like the Hamill vs Bisping decision

Supposedly, Ben Saunders is going to step in for Alves.

That is a weak move if you ask me. You want a good fight? Put Ellenberger in with Fitch. Jake might drop Fitch. But, thats probably why he's not in there.

Georges St-Pierre vs. Dan Hardy - GSP is a huge favorite in this fight, and for good reason. After watching the coverage on this fight, I really believe that Hardy thinks he can win this fight. However, I think it's because guys just don't know what they are getting into until they get in the ring with St. Pierre. I don't think GSP will let this thing stay upright for very long, and when it goes to the ground, GSP has a massive advantage. I like Hardy, but I don't see how he can win, but if he does, it will be one of the biggest upsets in MMA history.

Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin - I think Carwin is in over his head. He wouldn't even have this fight if he didn't run his mouth about Brock running his mouth. Carwin punches really hard, but I'm not sure about his chin, and I'm sure his ground game is nowhere near Mir's. I think that Mir will indulge Carwin on his feet, and probably get a TKO. If it goes to the ground, Mir will submit him, but it might not get that far.

Ben Saunders vs. Jon Fitch - Another win for Fitch, and he will probably get his title shot after this one. I wish Ellenberger would have got this chance at Fitch, but, Fitch is a ready-made contender for GSP, so you have to keep him around.

Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Brown - This one could be fight of the night. This could look a lot like Sam Stout vs. Joe Lauzon, but just with bigger guys. I like Almeida in this one, but Brown has a lot of power, and can end a fight quick.

Rousimar Palhares vs. Tomasz Drwal - I really like Palhares, and I think he can win this if he gets it to the ground. If he stands for too long, Drwal might KO him, but I think Palhares will pull it out. He has a ton of talent, and it's time to start turning that into wins.

free action tonight....King of the Cage: Legacy on HDNet, the premier of Fighting Words and some old fight replays showcasing Eddie Alvarez before IMMA. The Strikeforce Challenger series is also on tonight, but I just dropped Showtime. I wish Shooto was on TV.

That would be an interesting fight for sure. Fitch has a great chin though. Ellenberger is one of the most under rated fella's some just don't catch a break to easily for what ever reason.

Hardy got the piss beat out of him that was awesome. I wish GSP would have finished him though... That was a ridiculous arm crank though looked like hardy was getting ready to tap... just didn't do it. I was waiting for an efrain escudero arm injury type finish.....

How the F did Pellegrino get sub of the night over Palhares?

I thought Mir was going to look a lot better. Should be a great fight when Carwin faces Brock.

Gotta give Hardy huge props for his toughness and resiliency, but his takedown defense was embarrassing. I know GSP's wrestling is awesome, but how can you make it this far with such horrible takedown defense?
