:banhim: a joke? its' a joke because of the main event? no it wasn't

just because anderson made an arse outta himself don't mean teh whole show was a joke.

munoz/grove was a great fight, we saw a slic armbar, an anaconda choke and a tko. the card was good up until anderson stopped fighting in the 4th and 5th round

Exactly my point… the prelims was way more entertaining then the co-main events. What is the point of having "co-main event" if the prelim fights are better? I only want to watch the main event and not the prelims.

The last 2 UFC I saw 111 and 112, both were not as entertaining as the last 4 Pacman PPV. That Frank Mir Shawn Corwin co-main event from UFC 111 was also BS.

I disagree with you blaming the UFC for anderson's actions. I dont' see how you can say it's their fault at all really. the division is weak in my opinion. who else did you expect them to match him up with? Maia was the only true opponent worthy. Chael sonnen didn't have enough time to recover to fight after the Nate fight, Vitor pulled out due to injury. so if you dont' like the anderson/damien matchup, who do you suggest fight him? or what would you have done?
I'd like to clarify that i'm not blaming the UFC for Silva's actions. That is not what I was saying. His actions are on his shoulders.

I think we know where this is going...

Just watched the fights. BJ's fight could have went either way, what I don't understand is why he didn't take him to the ground where he is much superior and he obviously wasn't fast enough to keep up with Edgar.
As for as Silva, while I respect his skills and natural abilities his antics were a disgrace to the sport. He could have finished Maia in the first round. Do it and get it over with.

no one by the name of Shawn Corwin fought :screwy::ROFL: and that was a good fight...the other co-main event could be a different story, but it would be weird to put a title up w/ one of the top P4P not as a main event. I still don't understand co-main events at all, though.

I don't understand how he could say that Maia disrespected him, but he could have finished the fight very quickly and embarassed him. That would be much better payback than acting like an idiot. I hate showboating period and that's why I can't stand Rashad, either.

Co-main events are basically their way of getting a bigger draw by promoting two major fights on a card, with usually the later main event being a title fight.

I mean, I realize that, it's just there can really only be one main event.
