i've heard a lot of people give fighters like Rashad crap because of how they win fights. but I'm different, I appreciate things differently. I'm not a rashad fan, but I can respect that he did what he needed to do to win. if you can't stand and strike with someone because they are a more dangerous striker than you, of course you have to use clinching, takedowns and ground control. I always tell people, if you hate people who only go for takedowns and fight on the ground, go watch K1. It's all stand up. but in mma, you can't expect a fighter to stand and trade with a guy who is better. some guys just can't punch, they are just not talented in that area no matter how much they train, they can only get so good. therefore, they must use their ground game.
although I wasn't too excited about this card, I got it anyways. I most likely wont' buy the next one though.

While Rashad did win, I was not impressed. I never got into boxers who danced and stayed away

It was a great fight but everyone has different tastes. Sure everyone would like a finish in every fight but as the skill rises and MMA evolves some fights will go to a decision. I don't blame Rashad one bit for playing his strengths.krichardson;4180252; said:
Fact is guys Rashad outstruck Rampage there fore no matter Rampages style he was technically the one not engaging on the standing portion. He just didn't have a great answer to Rashads speed and agility / athleticism.
