y'all can say what you want, but I still think that you should have to tap 3 times to submit unless the ref jumps in before you break your arm. I think it's totally lame that he tapped to a choke...I don't understand not fighting until the very last moment. And I still hate Anderson with a huge passion and know his days are numbered. I think he's overrated. I really wish Shields would be fighting at middleweight as I believe he would beat Silva for sure. I still can't believe Chael didn't beat Anderson. I thought he learned after being submitted by Maia...guess not.

I'm ready to move on...the more I think about it, the angrier I get.

I agree that Shields is a bad match up for a.silva as well. Good ground control, good takedowns, great jits. Anderson is more likely to be submitted then to be knocked out. Maia has the skills, but didn't have the offense to setup a take down. I think Shields has better takedowns but he's not a great wrestler like Chael though. I'd still pick Anderson over Shields though and will be willing to do an av/sig bet on that as well.

He did say that he wants to compete at ww and mw so we'll see. I don't see him fighting anderson anytime soon since we will be fighting kampman and then probably get a title shot. if he takes the title, he'll likely remain at 170. Best chance for him to fight anderson is if he loses like 2 straight at 170 and makes the move up.

I don't think Shields would beat Silva.

I need to see Jake win consistently vs. the top talent before I can even go near that.

I like his ground game, but at this point, I don't know if it's better than Chael's, and I don't know if he even knows how to throw a punch.

Why do people hate Silva so much?
1 He toyed with his opponents
Dont hate a guy a guy for being so good he doesnt have to work hard to win. With 27 consecutive victories I think hes earned some bragging rights. Its not like hes trash talking (cough*Chael*cough) hes showing off in the ring and still winning.

Personally im a fan of silva. He just has not been on his game as of late. Im glad sonnen lost, he runs his mouth as much if not more than Mir... As for shields, give me a break, he worse than Fitch. Take down after takedown, no ground and pound, no submissions, just pure wrestling, BORING!!!!!!!!

I apologize. A lot of things I said about the fight were wrong. I couldn't bare to watch the fight again or otherwise I would have realized I was wrong. Watching Chael talk about it on Fighting Words with Mike Straka opened my eyes. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it; it was a great interview.

Being a showboat is something I just can't stand and therefore I will never like Anderson. I never did like him and after his last couple fights (minus the Chael fight), there's no way I'll go back on that.

and I don't see that happening unless he somehow loses to Fitch and GSP.
