Yes, JDS gets the winner. I was saying that I would have preferred to see JDS/Cain right after Lesnar/Carwin (or even right before) in order to line them up for a title shot.

Come on, Denis Stojnic was what made you think he Cain was ready for hw title shot? I watched that fight originally and it was forgettable then. They recently reaired it (this week or last) and I thought Cain looked average against a very slow and overweight Stojnic. At the time they fought, Denis was 5-1 and looked AWFUL. He had an inner tube hanging over his shorts and tits that drooped to his belly button. I think Cain is legit, but it isn't from seeing that win. :D

Respectfully disagreeing with the prediction too. Not because I'm a Lesnar fan, but because I just don't think Cain is the man to beat him.

I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. Some guys on here might even remember it (svang, pwmin).
It wasn't so much what he was in that fight, but what he showed he could be from that fight.

I actually like them not having Cain/JDS fight, because I think that those 3 are the top in that division for sure, and I think they may trade off wins over the next couple years. I like having JDS in waiting, but again, I think these 3 are much better than the rest @ HW, so I want them to all fight each other.

the rest should be decent fights.

I WILL BE THERE LIVE!!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2Got my camera and sharpie ready!

Congrats on going svang, it should be a ton of fun.

The only thing I disagree with you about the fight is the duration.
I think if it went long, Cain would certainly have the advantage, but I don't think it will.
Brocks power either has to be dealt with early, or it will deal with you early. I just don't see Cain being able to avoid that power for 5 rounds, that's why I think he will get him "early" (second or third)

I see how if you don't think Brock can knock Cain out, then you would think it would go that long, but I just disagree on that point.

I'm a Lesnar fan! Everyone always wants to see him lose because he came from WWE and people just don't want to admit that Professional Wrestlers have the potential to compete with MMA fighters. While there are some guys stepping out of Pro Wrestling and into MMA, I don't think they will be good as Brock. What people don't understand is that Brock is a legitimate wrestler. What makes him different than any other MMA fighter with a wrestling background?
no we dont wanna see him lose because hes from the WWE hes a cocky ass is why

I think stylistically, Cain has a better chance of beating Lesnar. Junior has the stand up to ko Brock but we've never seen him on his back. You can bet Brock will put him there. I don't think Brock will stand with Junior and I think he'll use his wrestling to get a decision or tko on the ground

just because you haven't seen him on his back doesn't mean hes bad hes a world BJJ brown belt it just means hes got great takedown def. did you see the JDS/Roy Nelson fight if not watch it

You're think Nelson's takedowns are a match for Lesnar's?

well he put Mir on his back faster then Lesnar did ive been doing MMA long before you slap happy boys with your Tap Out shirts on i know skill when i see it and Roy has way more then Lesnar all he has is his size and if you ask me in his last fight he lost his eyes rolled into the back of his head should have been stopped in the 1st round

No disrespect intended but I just don't see it. Roy couldn't take JDS down but I bet Lesnar can. I agree Lesnar has a long ways to go but if he improves his stand up, at least his stand up defense, he'll be more of a force to be reckoned with. I can't see him becoming a striker because he has too much mass on his shoulders, personally I think he should tone that down some so he can strike better.

I dont like either Lesner or Velasquez ......I cant stand either or their attitudes; but I cant wait for the Jake Shields Martin Kampmann fight......Shields deserves the title, and Im looking for a 2nd round ko of Kampmann.

It makes me laugh that you're comparing Nelson to Lesnar. Nelson should start with losing about 50 lbs of fat, then cut 10 to make 205 and fight around 210-215. He's a talented fighter (with great BJJ), but he's somewhat outclassed by HEAVYweights. A clean diet would help him a ton. He clearly has the cardio and drive to be dedicated, he just needs to apply it to dropping weight. It might take a few more losss for him to realize his lean body mass isn't the same as the rest of the big boys in the HW division.

And I assume the Mir/Nelson you're talking about is this one? like... 2003? Really? A grappling tourney? And I'm pretty sure Lesnar put Mir on his back before Nelson did.

And BJJ brown belt means NOTHING about take down defense. BJJ is a fighting style from the ground - top or bottom. Rarely are BJJ skill exhibited on the feet.
