Same here. I went outside for a minute and they were already interviewing Penn when I got back. I'm glad Rampage won but my prediction was if it went to the judges it would be Machida.
I did not see the show and I really expected Rampage to be steamrolled by Machida...I guess now he can use his win over Machida to further antagonize Rashad Evans and push for a rematch.

Rampage Jackson Vs. Lyoto Machida Everyone I watched it with thought Machida won. I felt rd 1 was close and could've gone either way. Rd2 I gave to Rampage and 3 to Machida. I like both guys but thought Machida would win. But good for Rampage, he looked really good

Matt Hughes Vs. BJ Penn for some reason, I always root for bj no matter who he fights and I'm always rooting against Matt Hughes no matter who he fights. I picked Penn to win this. It was a great fight, would've liked it to go longer but Hughes shouldn't have traded like that. The only person I'd root for in a fight with bj is if he rematched Gomi

Gerald Harris Vs. Maiquel Falcao dude, this guy Maiquel, he is a bad arse man. I was just confused as to why he took so long to get off in the first rd. Then he milked it in the 3rd. Dont' know what that was about but I was impressed by his tk defense and his speed. if he wouldn't have taken so long to make his move in the first rd, he would've had the time to finish

Phil Davis Vs. Tim Boetsch I felt this fight was set up for Davis to win. He's like a Bones Jones, they want to build him up slowly as they should, but he needs improvement in several areas. but that was the first time I seen the Kimura applied this way.

George Sotiropoulos Vs. Joe Lauzon Joe has been a disappointment to me. I thought if Joe was going to win this one, it'll be in rd 1. anything passed rd2 he gasses. good for george

Matt Brown Vs. Brian Foster great fight, didn't matter to me who won

Aaron Simpson Vs. Mark Munoz another good fight, i was rooting for Munoz too.

Karo Parisyan Vs. Dennis Hallman I think they cut Karo after this fight, but I haven't looked into it. Karo has had problems (physical and mental) it seems lately. too bad, he really fell off.

Edson Barboza Vs. Mike Lullo Barboza looks like Jose Aldo a bit. those leg kicks were sick! Don't know why Mike didn't switch to south paw or check the kicks more.

Paul Kelly Vs. TJ O'Brien good fight

Tyson Griffin Vs. Nik Lentz didn't see this fight, but poor tyson, that's 3 in a row for him. didn't think nik had what it takes to beat tyson but good for him i guess

it was a good card overall. 6/10

as far as the rampage fight goes, basically everyone I was with that was rooting for Machida thought he won and vice-versa. I thought rampage won 1 and 2 20-18 and Machida won 3 decisively, almost enough to get a 10-8. If it were SRC or Dream rules I would have maybe given it to Machida based on the last round. However, I don't think Rampage was really hurt as bad as most people thought. And Lyoto hardly did anything on the ground. If he really wanted to win that fight, but should have tried harder to finish. I hate when fighters go for the decision and not the win. Also, 2 of the 4 points: aggression and octagon control belonged to Rampage all 3 rounds and I felt better about his striking that Machida's in the first 2 rounds. Either way, glad to see run-around-backwards the whole time Machida lose. I was disappointed that Rampage didn't press the action more. He said he was really going to go after him but didn't engage that much or put enough pressure on Machida.

I was just blown away by the Penn/Hughes fight.

and I'm so glad to see Phil Davis improving. Being that I was born in the same city he's from and went to high school in, I have to root for him. And on top of that, my cousin actually wrested him in high school and he would always come up to my aunt (R.I.P.) and talk to her.

so disappointed in Karo. First dropping out of a fight due to anxiety and then needing to be bumped to the first fight because of it and then to getting KO'd in the first round. Just a terrible situation.

Jackson and Lyoto:
This was a alright fight. Less then what I was expecting. Tach was there, But no knock outs. I would have paid money for a hour of nothing but knock outs, But hey, what can you do. I watched it for free.

Penn and Huges:
*sigh* Good ol' Penn. I remember back in the days, B.J. fought Lyoto in K-1 Hero's-1. Lyoto won by Unanimous. (Just throwing it out there)

I still think the fight with Edger was rigged. Just for the fact that Maynard was the only guy that "beat" Edger. (by a Unanimous). Money, that's what Dana White is looking for this fight with Edger and Maynard. I personally will watch this fight when ever it happens.

Wait, you think they rigged it because they wanted a Edgar/Maynard main event?

I thinks so. I think no one wanted to fight Penn no more, so Dana White looked for the next big thing.

Look at the last two fights Edger and Penn were in. Look how slow, sloppy and ugly Penn was fighting. Now compare the two fight with Sanchez and Florian's fight. A different Penn from the Sanchez and Florian fight compared to the Two Edger fights. It looked like Penn didn't care.

But, on the lighter side. Maynard was the only guy that "beat" Edger..... It was a garbage fight, But Maynard still won. I really do see money in the making for the 13-1 Edger and the 10-0-1(NC) Maynard. It looks good on the PPV announcements.
