UFC 123 - Rampage vs. Machida

Seriously? Did you guys watch Penn Edgar 2? You actually think Penn won that fight? If so, there is really nothing I can say. Did you think Penn was winning GSP Penn 2?

Penn is a bigger draw than Edgar. Why would Dana White want him to not have a belt? Edgar v Maynard has an 85% chance of being 25 minutes of Maynard laying on him. Hardly anyone wants to see that fight. If he wins, Maynard will be the WORST champ. GSP is getting flamed for not ending fights, but he stays active....not just dry humping people.

Dana White only cares about money....money comes from people with draw power. That is why Lesnar can insult the main sponsor at 100 and still have a job. That is why Liddell kept getting fights. I promise you UFC is not looking forward to Edgar Maynard regardless of what the corporate hype machine says.

I did see both the fights. As I said before and say it again. Sloppy, ugly fighting on B.J. on both the Edger fights. Horrible fighting from Penn.

GSP fight, Penn went up in weight, Super sloppy yet again. I know Penn got dirty lickings form GSP...I know this.

But you said it was rigged. How is it rigged if he didn't perform unless you are saying Penn lost on purpose? Surely that isn't what you think? That is some conspiracy theory craziness. Penn is far too much of a narcissist for that.

I thinks so. I think no one wanted to fight Penn no more, so Dana White looked for the next big thing.

Look at the last two fights Edger and Penn were in. Look how slow, sloppy and ugly Penn was fighting. Now compare the two fight with Sanchez and Florian's fight. A different Penn from the Sanchez and Florian fight compared to the Two Edger fights. It looked like Penn didn't care.

But, on the lighter side. Maynard was the only guy that "beat" Edger..... It was a garbage fight, But Maynard still won. I really do see money in the making for the 13-1 Edger and the 10-0-1(NC) Maynard. It looks good on the PPV announcements.

Wow. It's actually the complete opposite. The UFC brass were throwing up in their mouth when they found out they had to go with Edgar/Maynard. That fight has almost no draw at all, and will struggle to get ppv buy's from mma fans, nevermind the casual ones.

Here are some from my phone, the one's from my cam are better, I'll try and get those up later.

awesome, i bet the place erupted when penn ko'd hughes. i was in the nose bleeds when brock lost his title to cain. you seem to be a lot closer

I was disappointed that Rampage didn't press the action more. He said he was really going to go after him but didn't engage that much or put enough pressure on Machida.

what? Rampage was the one trying to engage constantly but Machida is just a hard guy to catch. That's just his style. I only wished Machida would've attacked more. He usually fights like this but will attack more.

I disagree, Rampage was trying hard to get Machida to engage

and I agree about Frankie/Gray not being a big draw. which is why they made sure to stack that card to compensate

Right on dude. That guys logic is not adding up.

Yes, Yes I do. I FEEL IT WAS RIGGED.....

A couple million dollars can also reduce performance.

I wanted to see him go after Machida like Shogun did. Yes, he was trying to engage, but not like he said he was going to. He could have ended it if he kept the pressure up more and tried to get in tighter. And yes I know he did take him into the clinch a few times.

I do not see Rampage getting past Shogun or Evans unless he works out the kinks in his game.

He seems to be ducking the title shot, offering an immediate rematch to the Dragon

I think he jsut said that because he felt like Machida won the fight.
