Jon Jones "I'm too new school"

MMA fans should cringe and laugh at the absolute insanity/reality that friggin Shogun is now "old school"!

Jones is likely a once in 20 years type talent. Maybe I'm jumping off the ledge, but Jones is just one of those different guys.
 
its hard to tag a 6'4 guy with a 84" reach. he had close to a foot advantage on Rua. Plus, where do you find training partners that size& reach not to mention explosive and unpredictable? Bottomline is you can't really train his "style". so he'll be champ for a while...... so where does that leave us? how about the Spider vs Bones! :)
 
Jones is too athletic.. dude is really talented too. He made Shogun look like a fool, just like what A.Silva did to Forest... I dont think Jones hasn't been tag before, hes a tall guy and has crazy reaches. I think the only ones that can break Jones is Machida...& maybe Rashad by out wrestling him but idk about that. And for Rampage? idk.. Your thoughts?

The cro crop fight was sad. lol Mirko was doing okay cutting up Brendan, but he was way to slow... When will he retire?.. Hes not built like Randy xD

jones is the man wn i was we were in high school he was the man and now hes the man...untouchable
 
Jones has been an exciting fighter since day 1, but the hype machine is a little much. I wish he would have struggled with Shogun. It would have been so much better for the entire division. His hype machine was turbo charged, now it is nuclear.

His chin has NEVER been tested. This was his FIRST fight against a top 10 opponent (Bader was only top 10 to D.White and his puppets). Yes it was a spectacular showing, but its a little early to call him the great MMA messiah. I hate A. Silva, but respected his coming back from 23 minutes of domination from Sonnen. That is why Fedor and Wand are loved. They fought epic, legendary wars!

Who remembers the Machida era? How long did that last? His messiah status was pushed down our throats and it all fell apart the minute his chin was tested. This is the exact same thing, but even worse. Jones is younger, well-spoken, and American so this will be milked for all it is worth.
