UFC FOR CHILDREN??

I actually don't see a huge difference in it from just plain ole' wrestling that's taught in middle/high school. As long as disipline is enstowed as the core value. You can get hurt in either as both can be brutal, both take thought/training to be good at, etc.

You'd think some one with two bans and multiple infractions would try to curb their behavior, don't be so ostentacious. Going out of your way to call a person boring is going to warrant an equally rude response.

I think that the substance of my comments in this thread versus the lack of the same in her comments speak for themselves and I'm not sure why she's calling me out...if you don't like a topic being discussed...don't comment on it...and if you do feel the need to post...give a reason so you can have a mature discussion about it.

Although arguing with a teenage girl on the internet looks just as dumb...

I used to think this way too about MMA...I didn't like it at first when the fights always went to the ground. I didn't really "get it" but I kept watching, and over time became more familiar with all aspects of the ground work. So yeah, to untrained eyes, it does appear very boring - but learn a little bit and be able to spot how much actually goes into grappling, guards, transitions, holds, etc, you start to appreciate what they are doing more and its just as entertaining as watching the stand up.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there, to an untrained eye it just looks like simple fight fatigue combined with lazy wrestling technique. But if you get involved in the sport and learn a bit of it through first hand experience you can identify that while they may not be moving a whole lot, there is a ton going on in terms of calculation towards winning the fight.

I agree completely, I got into the sport because it was certainly entertaining, but once I really got involved, I couldn't belive the precicion that goes into it. The best part now is getting my meals a BWW paid for cuz I bet with my friends on fights. :D Now they quit betting meals though...:irked:

Nice...I tried doing that with at the Mir vs. Lesnar fight, but no one would go with Brock...silly wresters, err, I mean, entertainers ;)
