So for anybody who saw my post this last week, I lost one of my piranha. I had a tank years ago with ZERO problems and now for the second time this week, I have something to deal with. I wish I could, but I can’t make this **** up. I come downstairs this morning to find this. Yes....that’s a part of the plant lodged in his side. What to do?

Never would think a plant could do damage like that. I personally would remove that plant.

I guess having worked (still do) at a lfs, I take for granted you (I) can net a fish out of a tank without emptying the water out. Looks like you'll have to wait and see what happens.
I’m going to get a larger net than what I have to get him out. But once I have him out, do I try to press lightly on him near his head so i can remove it?

If you don't have chain gloves don't try to hold head of the Piranha. Wait to see if the plant will fall out give a day or so.
