Yeah that’s what I was afraid of....them being slippery. And I’m afraid of using a towel and wiping any slime, or anything else, off their scales I’m not supposed toI have netted piranha without them destroying me or the net. I'd advise if you are not comfortable with handling them that you get some needle nose pliers and a sacraficial net. If the wait and see doesn't pan out.
Worst damage if received from a netted fish would be a large-ish poly.....gotta watch the spines. And they are super slippery.
