Ok, as some of you have seen i switched to gravel a couple weeks ago. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=391565

I love the look and love how the rays look on it. It is neat to watch them blow in it. HOWEVER, the tank is in my bedroom and it drives me CRAZY. They will not shut up all night constantly blowing and you can hear it. I got up last night 4-5 times to feed them hoping to shut them up with no luck.

ANY suggestions, before i have no choice to pull it out.

You must not have children:) I think the only options you have are to pull the gravel, or sleep somewhere else.

Earplugs. I've been wearing them for the last 13 years, ever since I lived in NYC for 6 months.

ha ha thought that but my wife said no to ear plugs.

I have a 5 year old but she has never had problems sleeping :)

i was going to ask about the smaller gravel. But this stuff drives me crazy. Especially with big rays they can really move it around. I think i trained them to make noise and get more food.

Drink more? LMAO

I couldn't have rays in my bedroom. IF they didn't have something to do on the bottom like blowing in sand or slammin rocks they'd be bobbing up and down at the surface seeing how hard they can slap the water's surface.

What was wrong with sand?
