police raided a drug dealer in a preplanned attack a few days ago, the man turned on them and the armed police were forced to shoot him (Police in England don't use live weapons unless its preplanned) this event has caused the country to spiral out of control and all of the lower class people refered to as "chavs" have started rioting in London.

the whole country seems to be under attack with many casualties and in nottingham apparently 40 people had just fire bombed a police station. its crazy because it is their own towns and country they are attacking, they are looting and setting many buildings on fire too.

basically, because there was a riot one time in London a few days ago, everyone is using it as an excuse, and lots of cities all over the country are getting burned and looted just because you can, thats the reason.

might I add that England is a peaceful country unlike America, this kind of thing never happens.

Honestly riots do not happen here often either. Not at this level. So would not say that is because we are more violent especially since if you combine the terrority that America covers to a large part of Europe then there are far more riots in Europe than the US.

When was the last time you heard of widespread riots across America?

We are an armed society, an armed society is a polite society. Case in point, the LA riots. Blacks went into predominately Asian communities to loot and pillage. The few Korean shop keepers that were armed, kept their shops.

Rioting over something rather minor like this wouldnt happen in my community nor in the VAST majority of the US. Our people just dont tolerate that (other then them Yankees up north that get all crazy when their hockey team wins a game.)

I guess you are all too young to remember or have heard about Kent State etc in the 60's?

As it now turns out, according to forensic evidence, the deceased did NOT fire at the police, the bullet found in a poiice radio came from another cop's gun.
So...are some of you now saying ( funnily/ironically enough, mostly the same guys here who enjoy posting about their own guns) that simply having a gun is grounds enough for the police to kill you?
I guess none of you remember another more recent event , the murder by cops of Jean Charles de Menezes, just for being late to work. ( look it up...7 bullets to his head while already in custody, and a totally innocent man)
