What exactly are YOU arguing if not your own personal agenda?
I seem to recall that in the last debate on this forum that I participated in re guns you could never present any solid case for your side of the debate when presented with facts and statistics, but did manage to get me banned for a while by crying to the moderators. Way to win an argument!
The guy had a gun, the police killed him, then tried to say he shot at them.
Now it has been shown through forensics that the victim did not fire his gun. The police therefore LIED. Was the victim a good guy? probably not. Was he entitled to due process? TOTALLY! did he get due process? If you call a bullet in the head due process then maybe you;re right.
From this simple evidence and then suggestions from more than a few ( gun owners too) that the police were correct and it was 'justified' because the guy had a gun, leads to the inevitable conclusion in logic that those same people therefore consider it OK for police to kill anyone because they have a gun. If they don;t then they also don;t think that this police killing was legal. There have been many incidents in the UK of police shooting innocent people, but very few where they have killed the right person.
There are many many people on this forum, including staffers, who are regularly appalled and disgusted at the gun fetish threads on this forum. ( and before you get all bent out of shape please do look up the actual definition of 'fetish'...."object of power")
One can't curse, talk politics, sex or religion or global climate change on this forum, mostly because there are many 'underage' members, ( and that is just fine, after all, it is a FISH FORUM) yet it is OK to have gun threads, even tho they are illegal in the countries that most of the posters post from , even in the US they are illegal for underage people and subject to various conditions. This is a serious disconnect in the forum's policy, but that is for ownership to decide
You promote guns. So many members here are so young that what you are in effect doing is promoting gun use to those for whom they are completely illegal. You want to keep guns? fine, but please keep them to yourself or put them on a gun forum where everyone is over 18
