might I add that England is a peaceful country unlike America, this kind of thing never happens.

Maybe in your twisted mind... your avatar goes with your comments as well

I was born in london, lived there untill the age of 10 when my parents decided it was time to get out as even back then london was a dangerous place what with race wars, drug related crimes, almost daliy muggings, and where we lived we often heard sirens , criminals running around the estate and police giving chase ( and we lived in what was classed as a good neighborhood). It wasnt just london either, we used to vacation up the coast, it wasnt much better there.

We moved to Australia for a better life and have never gone back, never will. its things like this that make me ashamed to be english. its pathetic, its nothing to do with the black guy that got shot, thecountries poorer people were at boiling point and simply saw this guys death as an excuse to riot, steel, and couse havoc and mayhem. England has become a case of " spot the white man" im not raceist but the country is full of criminals. My opinion, police should be given the go for lethal force.

I talked to an old friend of mine in london a few months ago, he told me that he had been badly wounded, he was at the fuel station filling up his car and out of nowhere a guy came up to him, slashed his face acros one eye and stabbed him, why? no one knows, stabbing and shootings are common place their now and it seems there isnt a motive in 90% of the time.

It just disgusts me, my opinion, let the police use lethal force.

I completely agree. The police are too soft now and look where it has got Britain. They need to hit the trouble makers hard and fast so they know who is in charge because at the minute it isn't the police. Sometimes brutal and even lethal force is needed.

i dont think this thread is giving a true reflection of society in the UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there were maybe a few thousand looters maximum in a country that has a population of 28 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is not a regular occurrence lol!

a few thugs took an opportunity to grab some goods during a recession i might add too!

it's the same with the US, a few thousand people are lowlife scum out of the million but if you drop a single turd in a 50,000 gallon container, no one's gonna wanna drink that water

this is how people judge

So...are some of you now saying ( funnily/ironically enough, mostly the same guys here who enjoy posting about their own guns) that simply having a gun is grounds enough for the police to kill you?

Ignoring the rest of the anti-gun propaganda you preach on a regular basis, who in this thread said that, and where? I must have missed that part.

this could get interesting

i had a feeling this thread was gonna start something it wasn't intended to

hahaha, dude posts about a historical event in the uk...and somehow it turns into a gun debate?

About as lame as PETA approving of "rise of planet of the apes" because of it's message about the unethical treatment of animals.

well, you're posting here so you make my point for me. JC..thanks
:)
I would also suggest that you provincials leave your own yards and go live in those areas in the UK like Tottenham, or any other urban decay areas of cities around the world , then maybe you can better understand the socio-econimic situation there. (btw I am FROM London)
I also suggest you do a little research and educate yourselves about police killings in the UK over the last decade, the practice of 'kettling' and some of its results ( now in the EU court of human rights), and lots of other corruption within the metropolitan Police (the 'Met') and then you may realize why there is so much anger and distrust of the police.
UK citizens are not protected by a Constitution like the US and police there .

Talk about going off on a tangent with your personal agenda. All I asked was, who in this thread said that having a gun was grounds enough for police to kill you. Your exact words, might I add.
