celebrist i dont believe in over kill for filtration. i mean im a guy who has a ac110, fx5, aquatop cf500uv and another aquatop 13w internal on all my 40g breeders... lol

How loud are they when running?

Media inside do not tumble when running. Only during backwash. No noise in filter position.

I feel the same way but P PacuMom made a good point about flow with these filters. I am intrigued by them and this could free up mw 150 I am using as a sump!

for the price of 2 ultimas and 2 pumps to run them you can just buy another 150g lol
actually you can buy multiple 150g tanks if your buying used tanks only lol

if u got the money hey i dont see a reason not to though theyre awesome
filters. but i would just get 1 since u already have the sump unless you plan
to remove the sump and set it up as a tank.

The ease of maintenance is the biggest appeal for me

setup a drip system with a r/o unit and call it a day lol.
best thing u can do for any large tanks.
