Um monster shrimp

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't feed the ones in my 240 at all. They have to fight with the poly's to even get scraps of talapia and that's a dangerous game. Other than that they can take their chances at eating some convict fry but thats also dangerous with their parents in the tank. The only other option left would be to hunt down the molly's when I get them and thats every other week or so.

In the 125 i feed everyone flakes, blood worms (frozen and dried) and occasionally live brine. I feed that tank once a day but I skip 2 random days a week. They are not as aggressive as the ones in the 240 and i'm sure you are correct in relating that aggression to hunger. In fact in the 125 I still have a bunch of neons left that have learned not to sleep near the bottom of the tank where most vulnerable.

Any vid/pics yet?

um i got a video of on attacking a raphael last night but it is very poor and for some reason u can barly see the shrimp lol the camera lke ignores the ghostlyness of the shrimpy

i feed them by the dozens(like 10 dozen at a time) to my blue channel and my oscars as well as my sunfish and my iridesent and once in awile i drop some in for the wolf

ghost shrimp are fish eaters but not to that scale. Maybe the betta succumb to sumthin else and the shrimp was just finishing the job?
