Some new pics of Crazy Joe. He has a new partner a 4 to 4.5 inch female. I added the tiny female to the tank about 4 weeks ago. There is quite a bit of wood on the bottom of the tank and for the first week she was hiding underneath. Then as time went on she ventured out. At first Joe now 15 inch chased her back into hiding. There's loads of hiding places Crazy Joe can't fit, so the small female was safe and happy. Over time the chasing got less and less, now there loving life and spawning. No jaw locking and fighting like when pairing similar sized fish. I've had this in the past with other large aggressive cichlids. The key lMO is hiding places.
