hey g if it where up to you and had a choice between umbie or dovii pairs what pair would you choose, just wanted your opinion i might order from rapps asap
Love'em both but to see an adult male Umbee constantly swimming back and forth in a large tank is an awesome sight! Dovii are one of my favorites but the Blue Umbee is the way to go.
If your are planning to try and spawn them, you will have a much easier time getting a compatible pair of Dovii. From my prior experiences the Umbees are much tougher on their mates. Either way you'll be happy, good luck!!

im so unsure what about color compared to dovii

both are beautiful fish caribemob !!

as for Umbie being tougher on their mates with Dovii you just have to be real careful because when you think you have a solid pair you will wake up to a dead mate. ;)

Happened to me. My big male dovii killed his mate. She didnt want to spawn and i woke up the next day she was torn up. Now i need another female. But I got another pair of dovii.

i agree with you on this one. i've always been a dovii man through and through but from my own experience growing both out (males) i'd have to say the umbee is alot more colourful. the dovii has a broader colour spectrum on them but the intensity of the colour on the umbee is hard to beat.

Yup that's what i'm going for the umbee male, but i'm liking a male parachromis tank, not sure leaning toward umbee though
