Be careful with your python--they are great at what they do, but the threading on the plastic pieces is excessively easy to strip.

Hopefully I never have to take it apart for anything. I wonder if there has been a change in the plastic quality over the years. I had a python that was 10+ years old that I gave to my mother that I never had problems with. I just wanted new everything so I gave everything that I previously owned to her filter, media, accessories the whole nine. Shes set for whenever she buys a new tank.

Also look into the universal adapter for the python. Wont have to unscrew anything on the sink

Yeah I got the adapter. Definitely nice to have.

Do you feel like it reduced the flow ? Takes for ever for me to fill the tank in my living room...other tanks are much quicker (no adapter)

3 weeks 5 days later tank is finally in. Black silicone looks awesome. I forget to check stand at store, go it home and had a dent in it not a bad one but visible to me since I bought it new. Can't get started though because I am not sure of tank placement just yet. I thought I had it all figured out and now that its here Im having second thoughts, will make a separate thread for the placement issue.
