Underground Hip Hop

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Immortal Technique, MF DOOM, Jedi Mindtricks, Eyedea and Abilities. That's about it for underground hip hop really. More of a Black/Death/Thrash kinda guy.

Blue Scholars are the homies. Glad you like Seattle Hip Hop. You need my Boy Jake One's album "White Van Music". I'm in the video for the track "Home"

Seattle and Minneapolis seem to be hubs of underground Hip Hop. I like Jake One, thanks for the recommendation.

Rhymesayers is one of my favorites.

Which one are you in the video? How far in?

just saw E&A, Murs, Aesop and Atmosphere at Red Rocks on Friday :D missed Addicted to Gods :(

E&A is my favorite, especially their albums (and the Oliver Hart album). Blueprint/Soul Position is prob my favorite live for some reason, but I don't like the albums that much. I have only been listening to "UG" for, like, 5 years and I haven't really ventured outside of Rhymesayers cuz I don't have a lot of time to give to just one genre. I'm constantly listening to new music from a lot of different genres. My new favorite is SecTor 7G (http://www.myspace.com/sec7g), whom I saw w/ E&A a year or so ago. I also like Black Pegasus (http://www.myspace.com/blackpegasus), who is from C-Springs, CO. Can't forget ICP and Kottonmouth Kings :D not exactly UG rap, but you know.

Ahh, how could i forget about Murs.

I like "Dark Skinned White Girls."

Lol! I wasn't a rapper or anything in the video. Just one of the heads in the background at the BBQ scene.

I hate the term "underground". Underground bands/artists are just bands that are too crap to get lifted off the ground or haven't had the opportunity. I don't know many bands who would dismiss the opportunity to go big (unless they were to be signed to a crappy record company) purely for the sake of "the music", if people said that they would be lying.

I was reading metal hammer and found the band Gojira. I went on youtube and saw people having these fights that Gojira are so underground. wtf? if they were "underground" they wouldn't be on metal hammer
True. You know who's underground Elvis!!!!
Patrick swayz.......better not!
