Underrated fish.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe tetras or charcins are the most under-rated. I'm not countin pacus or piranhas obviously, but these fish can be amazing to watch. I had set up my 100 gal grow for my TSN with real plants and some wood and had put in a large shoal of Black Widow Tetras and I must say, they looked amazing.

Tetras come in all shapes and sizes and have spectacular colours, say for instance Neons, Phantoms, etc. But unlike other colourful fish they are not sensitive or delicate.

Dojo Loaches. One of the longest kept fish in the history of man and fish. They have a lot more personality than they're given credit for as well.

oscars and the humble fancy guppy. on here the guppies all end up as feeders.

Oscars, jd's aka common cichlids. Also tetras and smaller fish like said.

i think oscars are just ok, blood parrots i hate, i don't know if you can really call any fish over or underrated, everyone has their own personal preferences, and every fish, or ever living organism for that matter, is pretty cool in their own unique ways, just my opinion

Convicts imo are very under rated. they have the personality of an oscar.
they have a very nice color and they are very smart and protective to their young too. Its just that theyre cheap so not too much pay attention to them or gives them the tank and care one would have given to a much expensive fish.

:grinyes: :iagree: :grinyes:

After keeping 3 pairs in a 75g this community is very interesting to watch. I'm sure this type behavior mirrors other SA/CA cichlids, but no need for the Monster amount of space for this experience.
