Full freshwater and brackish, it is the Kurtus gulliveri from N.Australia, Indonesia, and New Guinea. It is apparently a tasty foodfish and is not endangered or rare. Looks like it has been skinned. mkpeters6 said:as far as monster cichlids go -- i think the emperor cichlids of Africa are fairly underrepresented -- you always see peacock bass, dovii, jags, etc but these truly monsterous cichlids are rarely seen
