thanks for checking. He is still about the same. Maybe he has swim bladder issues? He struggles to stay right side up, but he ate last night. So that is good news (i guess). He is not as active as he once was. When upside down his breathing is pretty labored. The only way he lays around right side up is if he is leaning against something, like the wall of the tank.

good luck with your eel hope it gets better,but you know how it goes when something like this happens for no reason its always one of your favorite fish and there is no reason it just happens
 
Well, i THINK he may be improving. Not holding my breath, but he seemed to be right side up for longer periods last night. He also ate again.
When he eats he seems to struggle with small pieces (like choking)where before he could eat a whole filet of tilipia. But last night he seemed to do better.
