I didn't notice the same finnage as on the megamouth and the head/mouth don't seem right at all. The megamouth has a downturned mouth and the original pic has an upturned one. Who knows how decomposed it was and what that may have done but I doubt it would have caused the mouth to turn upward.

To me it looks more like a turtle which has had its shelled and fins removed, ready for consumption.
it looks like one of the mega mouth sharks to me.
it looks like in the old pict the shark is up side down? who knows what state of decomposition it was in when those men found it.
but that makes me wonder, if it was really rotten why drag it close to living/working quarters? they could have taken a photo where they found it.

posted pic look unreal, can't see the gill, the fin maybe ripped off by someone or somethin..this belong to fish??any fish in this world haven't gill??
