Unplanted my planted tank

thanks Jose. all my wood is manzanita. I ordered it from manzanita.com. you can order any size branches and they have pics of thier stumps for sale. they are in California and thier shipping is very reasonable. my floating plants (brazialian pennyworth) takes care of the nitrates. would not do duckweed. I had it and it's a pain. put yor arm in the tank and it's covered with the stuff. I have had planted tanks in the past but they are too much work. my tank is so easy to maintain. you wont be sorry with wilds. once acclimated to your tank I think they are much more hardy than domestics. seven months and I have not had one problem with them.

Ah ok. I got a bunch of local manzanita wood in my area. Just need to drive and hunt for it

Still not sure if floating plants will work in my tank, since I'm running an overflow. I think many of them would get stuck near the overflox box. I'm definitely hooked on the wilds, they are so beautiful! I always thought they were very delicate but I hear the opposite from many people. I'm trying to sell a few things to have some funds for them

oh my God dude that completely sucks but look at the bright side,you are the master plant guy in my book and it gives you a new tank to go crazy on and fill with new plants and aquascaping.Of course I haven't read the pages in this thread and by now you probably have a full planted tank again but I wish you the best regardless.

It's a neat looking plant for sure. Never grown it, how is the rooting system? If it's anything like HC, forget it lol, I'd rather try some glosso!

I hear you can grow it like HC, but it takes off pretty quick after it gets settled in.
