uh I wouldn't do that. If the air bubbles are making her happy let her be happy. Obviously she feels safe in the bubbles so don't turn them off. You don't want her going world war 3 on everybody.

thanks for the comments everyone. I did a water change yesterday. i moved the bubbles to the right and she followed the bubbles.

I'll keep the bubbles on, she really does seem to like it or feel safe in it. she won't leave it's side to roam around or nothing.

Does anyone out there have a male they want to loan me??? We'll split the fry!!!

It may not just be that easy. There could be a male in the tank and she just does not find him worthy. That is why she is scrapping with them all the females get aggressive to the males to ensure the best canidiate to breed with. Adding a strange amle is a shot in the dark could work and could not work but I wouldn't push the issue by adding another cichla to the tank just give it some time she may show intrest in the months to come in a Mlae you aplready have in the tank. And then she could never accept any of the males you have or put in. Just my .2 cents.

i believe my other orino may be female also because she beats up on that orino worse. she just nudges the monos away but she'll chase and bite the other orino.

has anyone ever seen or owned a mono/orino hybrid?
