:eek::eek: So I am no stranger to firearms. In fact, fish and guns are where my money is spent. I am well versed with multiple types of rifles and handguns. I do not own a Sig Sauer, but I have shot many of them. So I went to work at the bank last Saturday just like I do every day and I had the opportunity to become acquainted with a Sig Sauer in a way I have never experienced...Here I am chilling at my desk when some dude runs in yelling "THIS IS A ROBBERY!" He has on a full ski mask and is waving a gun. Before I know it the dude has the gun in my face demanding money! After dishing out the cash he leaves and apologizes "Sorry! I just need the money!"

I was being interviewed by an FBI agent and when she asked for the description all I could remember was his mustache, the color red on his shoes, and the gun was a Sig Sauer. Apparently not many people know what gun is being pointed at them when they are robbed because the FBI agent gave me a funky look . We had to meet with a counselor afterward and the counselor told me she has done counseling for over 70 robberies and no one has ever been able to name the brand of gun pointed at them. I remember looking at the gun when he pointed it at me and thinking,"wow, this guy at least has a quality weapon.......but oh $%&#, he could shoot me so I better give him the money!" I am not sure of what to think of the whole ordeal other than this is the first time I have been on the opposite end of a Sig Sauer. Hopefully I never have to get that intimate with a hand gun again...:nilly:

Glad you're OK. What an event! How many people can say they've been robbed while working in a bank? I guess it's easier to rob a bank in Nevada than a casino?

So, I take it you don't carry regularly? Would your work allow it if you wanted to?

LOL, yeah the casinos here are nuts. You can stand in one spot anywhere in a casino and probably see over 20 cameras. All of us at the bank are OK. It certainly shook us up a bit to say the least. They never caught the guy either.

They would fire me asap if I carried at work. The bank is based out of Illinois, one of the most strict gun regulating states in the nation. They would have a cow if I brought a gun to work.

Huh. That seems kinda strange to me. Is there anyone there that is armed? It is a bank after all. If not, it seems that there is NOTHING standing between a thief and the money. Nothing to even deter them, because lets face it, it isn't hard to fool a camera...

They are looking at adding some better security features. I hope they do as this is the second time this year. I wasn't there for the first one at least.

Geez. How much did skimping out on security cost them this time? They're lucky everyone is still alive...

Alot of banks are insured these days. Even if they aren't, remember one simple rule: The locals tend to forget about a little cash in a drawer getting stolen. The locals tend not to forget when a security guard dies because the gunman got the jump on him. It's easier to replace some cash than a man, and you're less likely to lose business over it.

Also, I find it funny that you're screwed by our gun laws and you're not even in the state. Welcome to Illinois ;D

:WHOA: Glad your ok :)
