Glad to hear you are ok....that is pretty traumatic, even if not right away. Give it a bit to sink in. I have been at the wrong end of a gun barrel 3 times, it messed with my head and I still have PTSD from it over 10 years later.

Glad you're ok, and that you collected some information. Hopefully there is no next time, but make sure to take mental pictures and events. All the information you can gather...

The locals tend not to forget when a security guard dies because the gunman got the jump on him. It's easier to replace some cash than a man, and you're less likely to lose business over it.
Also, I find it funny that you're screwed by our gun laws and you're not even in the state. Welcome to Illinois ;D

They were all trained to give the suspect whatever they want and to not escalate the situation. They want the suspect out of the bank asap. So i doubt they would allow them to carry let alone try to fight off the suspect. Not as glamorous as in the movies...
Anyways that must have been crazy, good to hear no one was hurt.
Armed employees at a bank? I doubt that will ever happend. Maybe an armed guard, but even then, I never see armed guards at any banks in my area. If I were a teller, I would NOT try and be the hero of the day and get shot for trying to protect the bank's assets. That's what insurance is for. I wouldn't risk my life over a couple bucks an hour. The robber could take all the damn money in the bank for all I care, as long as nobody gets hurt.frnchjeep;4569617;4569617 said:Huh. That seems kinda strange to me.
