Anyone heard of The Great Martian War? It's a...interesting 'movie'. It's about a war with the martians in 1913-17, but it's told as a Historical Documentary(In black in white(like WW1 and WW2)). It shows older people (in the 1970's,1980's and 1990's)having interviews recalling those times.

It's on BBCA for another 1h 15min.

I watched a decent zombie/outbreak film the other day called State of Emergency that I enjoyed.

Heard Guardians of the Galaxy did $94 million over the weekend. Word is a second will be done now.

Personally, I was expecting this to bomb or do less then $50 million.
 
I didn't necessarily expect them to bomb, but I didn't care too much about the movie because it doesn't appear to be too serious.

at least that's the vibe I get from the trailers. they seem to be full of tacky lines
 
That's the one movie on my list that I didn't see yesterday...
Hercules was pretty good,still not buying Rock as Herc.
Purge Anarchy was actually better than the first.
Dawn of the Apes was good.I'm guessing the ending as well as the title suggests there will be another installment.
I fell asleep on Lucy.
 
WB has now changed the release date of Batman vs Superman. Just a day or two after Guardians of the Galaxy $94 million weekend haul...they got scared and decided not to go one-on-one with Captain America 3. I believe it was bumped up to May 2016

Syfy showed their first commercial for Z Nation. It comes out in September. We already knew that someone had the cure. As it turns out, he is the cure. He was bitten but didn't turn.
 
saw Transformers and Guardians this week. Both were pretty good movies. I marked out over the dinobots, lol. And Nicola Peltz is so fine as if you didn't know already. Much better than Rosie. Hopefully she comes back to Bates Motel.
 
...and I saw Expendables 3 yesterday and enjoyed it...guess they are going to be like the SEALS now with more than one group.Rhonda Rousey looks a lot like Julia Styles when she's all done up.
