Lol from what I heard about the adaption from book to movie is the book is told through narrative and inner thoughts of the chick and the movie can't capture that.

but they really can do a better job at capturing the narrative and stuff. there are movies that do that well. this one did not at all
Syfy has an upcoming 13 episode show called Dark Matter that will come out during the summer.
The series follows the crew of a spaceship who awake from stasis with no clue where they are. Hopefully it won't be a space disappointment like Ascension was.

Dig starts tonight....I'm off from work and snowed in so I can actually watch a show as it airs for once.
Finally saw Star Trek into Darkness. I liked it alot.
The reason I didn't watch it before was because I'm one of those fans that is pissed off that they screwed the cannon up. I told myself I would not pay to see it...only when it's on TV. Well it was on the other night so I taped it and watched it just now.
With the exception of the screwed up cannon it was very good.
