UPDATE ON BEANI

cant wait till he's bigger. gonna be a beast
i never understood why people stay away from these fish until now. they literally are the touchiest fish ever. i used to have salt water fish and i thought those were touchy. this beani has been just as bad!
im glad i have him though. i love my cichlids more than any salt tank, and im super glad i tried this guy out. ive been keeping cichlids for over 10 years and i thought i knew alot about fish before....just the last few weeks with this guy ive learned things i never even knew about haha.

Been a whole since I posted on here.
Thought id give a quick update. Beani is doing great. Haven't had any problems since the bloat incident.
I'm trying to get pics of him all coloured up to post but he's being a prick and hiding every time I get close to take a picture.
He's roughly 10 inches now, including tail. Gold, blue and green in color.
I have had a bunch of fancy pleco's and a convict in with him for the past....6ish months and they are all doing great.
Just recently added a small red tail cat to the mix and had a question about him if anyone can help me out!
I can't get the catfish to eat pellets! Swims right past them. Eats mysis like to no tomorrow though, which is a given I suppose, but I want to wean him on to pellets.
Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe soaking some pellets in with mysis to get the scent on them and throwing them in front of his cave??
