Update on CB Marble pup

As most of you know I had a litter of 6. 2 stillborn. Slowly I lost one after another..... Until there was one.

She's doing great now. Finally putting on weight and getting very good at seeking out the cut up crawlers she loves so much. Up to 2 Canadian crawlers a day. Sampling other foods but doesn't dig them like the crawlers. Strangely she will NOT have anything to do with blackworms.

Funny thing is there were 2 that had clearly more desireable patterns. Not quite the worst looking one in the batch, but definetly not the best.

I've never second guessed the hobby in my life till this whole ordeal. Watching pups slowly fade one after another makes you sick. BUT seeing this lil girl doing so well is enough to keep anyone going..... Guess the only thing I can do is look to her for inspiration and try my best to make sure the future litters turn out better.

They definetly change. I think this one will be pretty nice as I've seen lots of Marbles that look like plain Motoros till 6 months to a year. I think this kinda Marbling in the first month shows potential. Both parents were what I would consider to be better than average.

6 chewed up females total in the pond.... Appears the "Mantilla" is even getting some. Of course this is all just pure speculation as bitemarks and half chewed disks don't make it a sure thing but at least a definite possibility.

But a few months out at the soonest.......

She looks nice, shows potential, but you as much as anyone knows, sometimes the ugly duckling turns out to be the swan. And vise versa.:)
PS, I am waiting for your creme de la crem.
