Yes but it is very rare to see a female jag with that spotting so just because you have seen one with it before your going to say this one is a female??? I say there is a slight possibility that its female but most likely male.
 
I should have worded it differently. I'm just saying that you can't rule out it being female just because it has facial/belly spots...

I have a question, because to me the markings indicate male, is there another tell tale sign.....Say head shape or finage, body shape? Is 5 inches to small to make a definite decision? Please in form. To me it really looks male, but not 100%.
 
The pattern says female to me. The markings are breaking yes, but the lateral line remains prominent. To me that means female.

I would say that you could confidently sex a jag at 7-8 inches. At this point it is still up in the air.

I agree, all these opinions are exactly that and nothing more. Still to young to accurately sex by looks.
