Andrew, with the way things are going here... I think it's best you either keep your discoveries to yourself, if you're going to keep doing what you're doing or stop posting them in general. I get the feeling some people are enjoying the flak more than they should. I came in here to see a colorful JD, now I'm reading about how a turtle should be released and practice of ethics. Seeing as clearly no one here can change your mind, it makes no sense to try to convince them otherwise. The same applies to you, you clearly don't see yourself doing anything wrong and it would be pointless to continue as well.

Ya I'm not gonna post anymore content like that. Just updates and stuff on my animals. And questions. They should at least have the decency to message me rather than destroy yet another thread. For Being a mod they seem to not follow the rules too well. They always close down threads, but they have ruined countless threads of mine now. Just gonna ignore their comments that are un related to the topic. If they want to give me advice or bash me then my inbox will be open.

Would you happen to have a land portion in your extremely spacious 2-3 gallon tank? surely someone with your infinite turtle keeping wisdom would know that a turtle cant swim forever and need a place to rest and or dry off every now and then?

Yes, I currently have floating plants. Message me if you want to know more. Not discussing on this thread anymore

Floating plants are not sufficient... I love how you claim to be knowledgeable in turtles, but you make this simple but fatal mistake.Turtles need to climb COMPLETELY out of the water and COMPLETELY dry off to prevent fungus. Tell me, what kind of lamp and bulb are you using on your 3 gallon? And the temperature of the non existent basking spot and water temperature? diet of the snapping turtle?

Please, stop keeping animals.

The lamp is a uvb/Uva basking bulb. The plants are fry plants which are platforms. Snapping turtles if ever, rarely come out of the water completely. Other than females to lay eggs. Trust me I know how to care for turtles. Pm me I'm not responding to anymore comments

Adults may not bask much, but babies to juveniles need a basking spot very much so. Their bone development is critical at this young stage and need constant sun. Here's a picture of a juvie snapper doing just this. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me you are supplementing his food correctly, and what is his diet? You didn't answer this before.

Just trying to save your animals.

I have been giving him minnows. I need to swap in some hatching diet along with some calcium blocks to keep his bone marrow healthy

I thank you for changing Your approach. I believe in this scenario You cant change his mind, So it is better to offer him some tools to ensure the turtles livelihood. I was kind of waiting on one of You to offer to buy the turtle since some of You are so passionate about it. The next best thing is to cut out the bashing and try to improve the situation for the turtle.

@ Andrew: Im not vested in this discussion. I hope You do right by the turtle. I don't know of a fish keeper that has not killed an animal. We've all made mistakes, And we try to learn from them. Try to be more receptive to the experience of others, You don't have to like the messenger. but accept the message for what it is. This is a site where You sign up to be scrutinized. We police ourselves. It protects our brand. Keep trying to do the next best thing. And I expect to see more threads about You taking a little more responsibility with Your practices. Stick around it gets better.

And again, That is a pretty Dempsey.
