How deep is the water by the way? Snappers ideal water level when young is only as deep a its shell is long. Feed minnows, earth worms, commercial turtle food/koi pellets, and romaine lettuce, vegetation is an important part of the diet, don't forget that.

Also the current fish needs to be upgrade to bigger tank. From now just don't bring animals home till the husbandry has improved.
 
Coming into the thread a bit late and asking something not related to the turtle thing, but is that the lighting that is giving your tank water that coloration or what's going on with that?
 
He said he has yellow rocks with a yellow output bulp insyead of one of the white output ones... Why u got yellow rocks?

I don't think these pictures were recently since the bullhead is no longer in the aquarium...(hopefully it survived from warm aquarium to cold pond).

As he claims it's actually dirty. I have a yellow output bulb and reflector on my flowerhorn tank and its white. And in my other tank I have yellow rocks and its still clear... My tank did turn yellow like his when I neglected to do water changes with brand new driftwood in the tank with all the tannings. Still never as gross looking as his tanks. I really dont believe a word he says...... and why does he have a "yellow" bulb for a 55g that looks relatively new. The light and rocks would have no effect on that color of his tank. i call bs
 
Exactly. I have a yellow bulb on my sons goldfish tank. It doesn't look nearly as yellow as his. He needs to stop keeping live animals until he either has the proper space and equipment too do so, or stop until he does.
