update on my blacks

I'm a big fan of the aro and combo. Both of yours look great. I also just picked up a small black aro and hope to add him to my main tank in a couple months.

Thanks, I have 3 black aros right now. I am gonna wait extra long before adding these blacks to my ray tank. My male bdxleo is rambunctious. He acts like he is never fed every day when I hand feed him. If there is even a small spec of food stuck to the power head he smashes it and rips it off the wall trying to get that tiny morsel. He has tried to eat my Lima cats and even tried to eat my o. Nigers. I figured the Nigers were safe.

I have been tweaking away all afternoon on there "filter" tank. Since my main objective was to make this grow out tank a huge planted filter for the main tank. I added a bunch more plants, some wood, a black phantom trio(1m/2f), pair of albino Cory cats, and my trio(2m/1f) of L239 blue panaques. I may be getting a few more L239 females to toss in along with some more wood. I'll be adding some mopani wood also to get more tannins in the system. I think some discus are in order aswell. I also added a second shop light to the tank for full coverage plant light.

I'll make a vid tonight after dark.

Understood. My p14s are that most active rays I've ever seen actually spending quite a bit of time cruising the top. I also have a larger odoe pike which is a concern but I'm hoping it will work at some point in the not too distant future. Off to power feed the aro lol

Yeah this bdxleo spends just as much time on the walls of the tank as he does on the bottom. Watch that odoe, may work though. Just make sure that aros is good and big before you try it.

Well. They started fighting more and I am working g more so I split them up. Sold one and another is for sale. I am keeping one. Not worth the risk at this point.

Yeah. I just started dry walling mon-sat 6am-8pm so time spent monitoring the tank has gone way way down. In the end it is not worth the risk and I lack tanks to grow them all out correctly right now. I'll grow this one out then I may get 2-4 12" fish to add to him later.
