Thanks, That is what I was thinking. It wasn't worth loosing the fish over when I know I can get more and build to it. Time is on my side on this one.

Plus doing that way you can grow out a new black aro every year, something I would love to do again but just don't have the room for another big boy.

Just read your entire progress, it sucks I thought blacks were really friendly. I have 3 of them all at 18", got them at 12 and there was no problems with aggression. I had no idea they still fight each other when they are small. My 8" leichardti probably has more aggression than all three of the blacks put together.
They are much calmer then silvers but they still do fight. It happens. I'll just add to this one later not a huge deal. I got a mess of discus in trade so it worked out.
I just sold 5 Atlantic tarpon. I decided to go a different route with them.
