update on my silver aro project 2/11/10

i will use this thread for all updates on the aros and possible breeding

i am a 4 for a count...i still may get more, but idk for now...they are fighting every time i reintroduce them...i will keep tring to get them to comm. together...i think i wil have better luck as the are bigger...

Your tank sent me the chill whenever I see how thin the glass it's using.

it is an old 20gal...had it for years...couldn't find dividers for the 55gal that they were in so i had to do this...they killed eachother...i lost 1 of the first pair i got to the other killing it...then got 10 more, 3 died from shipping, 2 got kill from one, then 2 more got killed from another...that leaves 3 from the 10 and 1 from the pair...for a while it seemed no matter what i did i woke up to dead aros...the last aro death was one that didn't eat...all the egg sacks got broken by the first agressor...the agressor and 2 more live on...

floating plants/wood can help to separate the living space and calm down some of the aggression they are all looking pretty good tho

Nice project ! I got a question for ya though I was wondering can 2 or more black arrowannas be kept in teh same tank as long as its a big tank ?I have seen black and silvers together but wasn't sure about 2 blacks thanks I am sorry for the derail

it could work, but it might not it depends on the fish...
