update on my silver aro project 2/11/10

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i took the 2 larger one of the newer groupand put them together so far they are doing well...min. to no fights...the third is still to small yetand all three are to small to go with thelargest yet...also the smallest one jumpped out during a switch that the aros did themselves...it slipped out of my hands and hit the floor...it is doing good, just got alittle stuned, but it is fine now...i added a goldfish so the 2 aros that are together can beat on it other then eachother...

Thats going to be awesome if you was able to get them to breed, where do you get all your arros LOL I can't fidn anything at my LFS

x2. Good luck!

thanx...i hope they breed...even if they don't it will still be cool to have them all...i will not use any hormones to try and get a spawn...

the 2 i mixed are still doing great, with no fights...the smaller one i will wait till it gets alittle bigger to mix...

Yeah just take your time.. good things come to those who wait ;)

what size tank are you using?

i originally bought 7, one jumped on the first day, and one died. i think from mayan ciclids. Not the best picture. but they are in a 240 gallon. I see them nip at each other but they hardly every fight. i added two - 3'' jardinis since then. hopefully they aren't to aggressive as they grow up

right now i have 3 in a 20gal they are 3-4" and i have one in a 55 at 5-6"... i can't put them all in my 180 due to my big gar and ck yet...nice aros...they also seem larger then mine right now...when mine get bigger they will be in a larger tank and i think they will cohab better...my 7-8" jar that i planed to put together with them aswell has showen a hatred for my pbass that will go in aswell...the jars future is to be deturmaned...

i have takken all the dividers out to see what will happen, they have been jumping them and usisng thir ninja skills to get past them anyways...i also added some plants from my other tanks hydroponics to give them some added "hanging" roots and filtration...they have been together a few hours now with no issues...will let them go till morning to see if they are ready to cohab...my larger aro i have with 3 rahp and 1 scomb payara that seem to school with/around the aro...the aro doesn't mind, so i am hoping the silverness of the payara will make the introdution of the other aros go smoother...
