badass baby aros..love them

thanx...i can't wait till i can add them to the other one...just the 3 could be eatten by my larger aro and my payara...

i woke up yesterday to find that the bigger one had killed the middle sized one...so i moved it to my a different 55gal that i thought it would be fine in instead of just putting the divider back in :wall:...i was thinking, i put the pbass into the 180 so that tank is fine now for it...it is 4-5"...my sens coulndn't eat that...oh by the way my sens are 8"...as you problibly guessed, i woke up this morning to see that one of my sens had eatten it in the night:irked:...i should have known better, but it was a move that i didn't think through...now i have a 2.5" in the 20gal and the 6" in a 55gal...idk if i will get more at this small ever again, but i may get some 5-6" to keep my project alive...i am thinking about selling my jar as it has become the a-hole i was tring to avoid...

Sorry for your lost. But its funny reading this. From my experience, buy a bunch like 20-30 and let them grow out together. Eventhough they still fight, it will not be as bad. The aggression is spread out.

Last year, i had 80 silver. Grew them all out to be 7-8in, living together peacefully. Even when i only put two in the tank, they dont fight; same with some of the other i sold. I end up selling them all.

I brought another 50 last week, tryign to repeat process. So far so good.

i have been thinking of doing more, but current tanks are too dangerous to put alot of aros in...also aros are more spendy up here so i may just go with some larger aros say 5-8" to start again with this project...i will never again get aros with yolk sacs...

aww.. i guess it didnt work sbuse.. but you should try again with more this time.. i love my silver.. hes about 6.5" to 7" ive had it for about a month and a half to 2 months and i got it at 5" :) KEEP TRYING

how do u have money to buy 70 arowana?

I think his main problem is having a large enough tank for his silvers. i say buy em big and just drop them into your main tank

or find a bigger tank(120) for a growout, and start small

i think the problem was that they were all too small to start with...i went the cheaper route and it got me this...when i do try it again i will do bigger aros, but still "small"...it will have to wait though...i just got some other fish...i still have 2 silvers that i will try to mix...i may get some more silvers after i sell my jar
