They are still on frozen fillet. I tried what you said with frozen whole vannamei shrimp, and didnt worked.

Do your Cichla accept well frozen shrimp ?

In the worst of cases I will try to buy tilapia fingerlings and give then, or maybe I will buy the fingerlings and freeze to avoid any disease and just throw then in the tank.

Now I got a decent camera! Now I just need to buy a polarized lens for the camera, but I can do much better pics already!


This is a little guy that Im growing in another tank. I put him there because he was being bullyied an he is also helping me to pellet train three little new guys.

Good idea gettn the other guy in a seperate tub.
Try using a pair of sun glasses w/ polarized lenses in front of your camera lens. This will help get rid of the glare.

Wow! Nice cearas. Would love to see them in a tank. Tie a fishing string to the fish fillet and jerk it around to give it live action. This was the method I used to pellet train some of my previous cichlas.

They look good Lucas, and yes its probably internal parasites.

Update. Testing a slowmotion underwater feeding video. Their mouth are pretty impressive, was nice to see it in slow motion.
