I tried and he wouldn't tolerate her. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with that male.
 
Try using an egg crate divider between the two of them with holes cut in it big enough for the female, but not the male, to get through. I'm sure you've heard about that technique, but I don't know if you're using it. It usually works really well though.

Yeah they're just so young I just wanted to see how they'd react. He beat her up initially but now they're doing fine. They're actually in a tank with egg crate divider LOL.

This is an awesome update! It shows that even if you get you're "low grade" Fhs from a Walmart they could be sweet!

I personally think the Walmart FH looks better, more expensive than the Thailand Fh. Not to say she looks bad.

Let them breed, grow a few fry out, I'll buy at least 12 from you and see what they look like with some size! If they suck, I'll get the rest from you and no worries! LOL

If they breed you know I've got free fry for you. Preuss has to give me trade in credit though LOL. I like my male, the female will be a good breeder but nothing amazing. I'd think I could get a few cool fry from these two.
 
Got any dithers in with them? That'll help do the trick. I plopped in a young male BP (low grade) in with my shortbody ZZ x BP pair a couple days ago (they'd been together for a week and a half), then today her tube dropped. Alright, I just walked into the other room and saw that I now have EGGS. Can't show more proof than that haha. Dithers help, dunno if you're using any at the moment.
