Looking fantabulous Ray!!! Loving it!! They almost look like the 'Rio Trombeta' marms in those pictures!!! Crazy cool. Mine are a good ways behind yours, but I'll get there eventually!!

Thanks again sir! I love seeing them!!! Fantabulous!!!

What do you have your pH at right now? Mine is a ridiculous 8.4 and pretty hard. Sucks. I'm gonna start adding RO and almond leaves to the 300 and 125gal to try and drop it a might. See if that helps with their coloration some.

BTW...there are only a few states where Crenicichla are illegal/restricted. Mississippi is one of them, not really sure about the others. I know that California is alright to keep CRENICICHLA. :)

Thanks Peanut! Don't rush, they turn into real jerks

My water sits somewhere about the same as yours, I want to get them bigger and fatter before I start messing with the water chemistry. Now that they are eating pellets. . . it is going well! :headbang2

Wow, that sucks. I'm at the opposite end. My pH hovers between 5.5 and 6. I've been thinking of ways to buffer it up just a little, but don't really want to mess too much with the water...

Why mess with it? The lower the pH and the softer the water the better for Crenicichla! ;)

exactly! :D Just keep on top of the water quality, lower pH and TDS means less stability. . .
