interested to find out why the pond was taken down. Was it taken down bec it was just a temp housing facility? Or was it taken down because of a leak or something?

As I said before also, there is like a funfair of intelligent people here. Everyone have such a good plans for cheap ponds and tanks. But i like so much your's one.

Just to clear the air for everyone the pond and another that was set up next to it (10' 1100 gallon intex frame pool) were taken down quite awhile ago and hear is the reasoning. That winter it was very cold and hard to keep the basement and ponds heated but I paid the outrageous power bills and made it work then we lost power for almost two days I lost fish and the rest were sent to other homes. I will someday build a new tank/pond but it will have a window and top down view. I really missed seeing my aros from the side when they were in the pond. Now to talk of the durability of the easy up pools. I had many large catfish of all sorts tons of plecos some that where almost 2' rays big and small large pacus and the list goes on but those are the fish I hear people question they would pop the top ring or the pool itself and cause the pool to fail. Well I never had a problem with that and the pool was set up for along time, never once did I have a leak of any type besides the splashing fish or me cleaning the pond. When I do it again I will definitely focus on a few things over the last two. Heat heat heat triple redundancy with oversized heaters and make sure the whole thing is insulated well to retain it's temp. Generator just big enough to run an airpump and minimal heat, it seems to happen on occasion to lose power for more than a few hours like a few days. I will also not be taking in all the fish like i used to they got overcrowded with fish that I really didn't want just felt bad and put them in a big tank. Lastly plan everything out before I start last time I just started and built as I went filter worked great bu design changed like 6 times during the ponds life. I hope that might help someone I know I am just rambling but I don't get on here often but everytime I do I notice more people settin these up and am honored that I could inspire people and help them I love them all and thanks to everyone that likes my ghetto pond and started there own. Don't worry I am still in the hobby but on a smaller level 180 fresh mostly SA cichlids but a mixture of other stuff too and then a 120 reef for the kid and a ton of empty tanks and equipment like most of us crazy monsterfishkeepers do
Thanks again for being a crazy monsterfishkeeper and keeping the hobby interesting

Adam

No, I had Florida gars but they were killed by something I never saw anyone beat them up but one day they were beat to death two of them. Had many aros never a prob except jumping. I was more worried about the pacus plecos and stingrays but never had a prob. I never did try my frts in there though those claws scared me with the vinyl.
