Real Parrot Fish (Hoplias piscittus)

I have owned one, lol. When I lost my big midas years ago I was on the hunt for a different cichlid and I did a South American theme with a true parrot, oscar, sevrum, pike and of course silver dollars.

+1 with the gar.

No legal 'gar' in my state. There are just the different characins that resemble gar that I can own.

Ohh men, i was expecting you to replace it with a koloton or PBB

I would replace a poly with another poly, and other fish with poly lolz.

I am happy with my 6 and am thinking to reduce that number down... I just dont see enough of the koliba to merit it being in the tank.

OOOOOGLY! That's fair. When the blood parrots start sagging skin, it does look odd.
The saltwater parrots are my favorite parrots(fish-wise anyways )
